With the current absence of new vehicle projects, there is temporarily, after nearly 1.2 million cars produced in Born since 2014, an end to independent car manufacturing at VDL Nedcar.
With the commencement of activities by VDL Special Vehicles and the VDL Mobility Innovation Centre (MIC) in Born - the (re)engineering of special vehicles and the assembly of battery packs - the first contours of our pursuit of, on one hand, greater independence from market and geopolitical developments and, on the other hand, a more robust earning model have begun.
